I am a published and award-winning fine-art photographer. I've had a camera since I was six years old and have been hooked ever since. My first pictures were of my grandfather's pigs and cows. I hold a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism and my first professional job was with WCSC-TV in Charleston, SC as a videographer and studio cameraman. I have a varied background in the arts including production assistant and featured extra on several major motion picture productions; interned at The South Carolina Educational Television Network and freelanced for SC ETV. But my passion is print photography featuring nature, landscape and wildlife. I love to hike the mountains of South and North Carolina chasing waterfalls. I hope you enjoy...

Do you know the history of this structure? I stopped by there the other day, and it would appear to be an old school. However, the architecture looks more like a house, and I don't have this location on either the GeoNames database or the South Carolina School Insurances Photo Archives. Any information you could provide would be appreciated. Nice, photograph, BTW!
Harry B Brown replied:
This was an old schoolhouse that was moved to its current location in the middle of the twentieth century. It was originally named The Goodland School. Thanks for the nice compliment!
